Lawrence Lessig's blog was where I first got turned on to this presidential cycle. Dr. Lessig is a Stanford law professor, a board member of the Electronic Freedom Foundation, and an accomplished writer. He recently argued for the repeal of the Sony Bono Copyright Extention Act in the Supreme Court Case Eldred v. Ashcroft.
Earlier this summer, Lessig took a break from blogging for a week and handed the reins over to Howard Dean. It was rocky, but informative and generated loads of traffic - raising enough eyebrows that Stanford politely asked Lessig to move his blog off of University servers, lest they be interpreted as endorsing a given candidate. Following suit, Senator John Edwards is guest blogging for Larry this week, hopefully giving Lessig some time to spend with his newborn son. Go over and check it out if you have time - Edwards' first post is brilliantly written and well thought out. And for laughs, there's even a comment from scott huminski trying to bring up his 'Dean is a criminal' meme.
And for my next trick, I'll get you to take a look at the
Eldred Act FAQ. Have you thought much about copyright reform?
