Meme of the day: McCain CANNOT BE TRUSTED! McCain is a liar
Fri Feb 22, 2008 at 09:52:56 PM PDT
Repeat after me: John McCain is a liar.
Kerry was too reluctant to call Bush a liar, even though he obviously was. we can no longer afford not to call a spade a spade.
Let us now take apply the lessons of Pelosi and of Lakoff: Having guts matters. How we talk about things matters.
Events will not hand us a better chance to build our frame for John McCain!
Choose your words carefully, they matter now more than ever.

The democrats do not do a great job about framing the message, and we all need to work on changing that, so please read this post.
We all agree that Bush is the worst thing to happen to American, but the Bush presidency is starting to sunset, and attacking him does us NO GOOD WHAT SO EVER.... We need to tie the Bush Presidency right around the necks of the Republicans, and we do that with how we frame the debate. By the words we choose
Frame/Meme: Reckless Republicans

This is just a random thought -- one for which I can't even claim originality, since who knows how many people have thought of it before. And I'm not really sure that it's a full diary's worth of an idea. But it hit me so hard and fast that I thought it might be worth putting out there.
What's wrong with Republicans?
They're reckless.
Reckless with the economy -- driving us into debt, spilling jobs overseas, trashing the dollar.
Reckless with our army -- plunging into war with no plan for the peace, overextending our troops,
Reckless with our reputation -- losing friends, allies, and influence it took generations to build up.
Republicans. Too reckless to be trusted again.
