Sam Aanestad CA-01 Candidate thinks Obama's a Muslim

Saw this in my local newspaper the other day and thought others might be interested in what this crazy man had to say. Aanestad is a former CA State Senator currently running for California's 1st Congressional District so he is not a newcomer to the political scene around these parts of Northern California. The seat was redistricted and takes over some of CA-04 from Tom McClintock. It's an open seat since incumbent CA-01 Rep. Wally Herger (R) has thankfully retired. Many years back as part of the anti-nuke movement in the 70s when it was the heyday of unlimited nuclear power touting energy too cheap to measure, we warned that there were many areas of the globe that would eventually have to be cordoned off and left forever as "national sacrifice areas" where human habitation was no longer possible. We argued that every step along the way from mining, fabricating, testing and use nuclear power and weapons production was leaving a trail of intense radioactivity that would be around long after humans had gone the way of the dinosaurs.

Friday night Rep Tom McClintock CA-04 gave a tea party for about 400 of his closest friends and I went to hear him speak and to ask as many questions as I could. 1 as it turned out.

Being absolutely appalled at the racist anti-latino law signed by Arizona's gutless joke of a Governor Jan Brewer, I was thinking of creative ways to get the message of disgust across to the xenophobic trogs who inhabit this amazingly backward state.

Yesterday the insanity of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars boiled over and engulfed Ft. Hood with the kind of mindless mayhem that is common place today throughout Iraq and Afghanistan. No other way to process the excruciatingly absurd drama that played itself out on America's largest military base. Those GIs didn't get a chance to get blown away by IEDs, friendly fire, enemy fire or land mines. The base shrink did it for them.

Hundreds of thousands of Americans - maybe millions, who knows - and I voted for Obama because we thought he would end these two endless wars within the first 100 days of his administration. What a joke. What we're stuck with is Bushlite. Two wars continuing indefinitely without end. Not what any of us voted for.
