So preface: I write and self publish fantasy/sci-fi. Ever since Trump won I’ve had this ‘timeline’ in my head.. Yeah it’s pretty bleak and depressing, but hey, it’s my thoughts *heh* All Domestic of course...

2017 — Trump sworn in, undoes every Executive order Obama signs in the last 6 months. Trump doesn’t build a physical ‘wall’ with Mexico yet, but beefs up Border security, new leadership turns blind eye at best and actively encourages militia-style groups to open fire on suspected illegals. After several major incidents, both legal and illegal Hispanic immigrants leave the US in large numbers. Trump’s coalition cheers, but problems are on the horizon. Meanwhile, Economy contracts and construction falters. Trump blames Democrats in congress who have managed to filibuster a few things, and incites mobs to ‘aggressively picket and protest’ Democratic senators and their families. Trump names new Supreme court justice, tipped the court to the far right again.
2018 — Several Democratic Senators decide not to seek reelection, fearful for their families safety. News reports are starting about possible food shortages as some crops are rotting in the fields due to lack of migrant workers. Construction continues to fall, and economy falls into recession. Trump blames Democrats again, Election is a bloodbath, Republicans take super-majority in Senate and nearly 100 seat margin in House. New senators are Trump loyalists to the core, and in a leadership coup get rid of old Republican leadership, new leaders are Trump loyalists. At the same time Ginsberg and Kennedy die in a tragic car accident on the way to the State of the Union address. Trump names two more justices, both under the age of 45, locking up the Supreme court for 40 plus years.
2019 — With new super majorities, Trump gets rid of EPA, NEA, Education, HUD, Energy. All of Energy’s sections are turned over to military to run. Trump quietly forces retirement of all senior leadership in the armed forces who aren’t loyal to him. Trump pushes through a set of laws “clarifying’ the First Amendment, resulting in the curtailing on the media and reporting. While court cases are filed, Supreme court quickly takes the case, decides in Trumps favor. Food shortages lead to Trump signing the “Emergency Labor Shortage Act” authorizing the use of Prison labor to harvest crops and build buildings, all under heavy armed guard. Also greatly expands the authorization of using private prison systems. Labor contracts are highly lucrative, and minorities are heavily targeted to be arrested and turned into a private unpaid labor force. US/Canada border becomes highly militarized, and those trying to cross into Canada from the US are often arrested under the ‘US CITIZEN PATRIOT ACT’ which makes it illegal to renounce US citizenship. California tries to succeed, but leaders are arrested for treason, and vanish into the private prison system, never to be seen again.
2020 — Trump runs for election, while a Democrat runs, they get no media coverage, there are no debates, and Trump wins a true landslide this time as the voting base of the Democratic party has shrunk by huge numbers. With the still existing labor shortage, a series of laws are pushed through, backed by the Trump courts that make Homosexuality illegal, a short list of religions illegal, and with a new ‘emergency powers’ law, protest already at a low level, fully illegal. Any citizen who has ever protested Trump or his administration is rounded up for the labor prisons. The environment suffers, as pollution rises fast, part of the Missouri river catches on fire for 6 days because of a chemical spill, and just let to burn.
2021 — Citing a new threat, further ‘emergency’ powers are granted to Trump. These result in the full removal of all cabinet posts, with all executive power concentrated in Trump or his family. New laws to ‘Make America beautiful again’ make all members of the public be graded on physical attractiveness. If you do not reach a minimum score, they are shipped off to a labor camp. More than 1/3 of all former US Citizens are now prison labor. Trump also pushes through a new law removing citizenship for anyone who is in a prison camp. The wall is now built, and one is also started on the US/Canada border.
2022 — All alternative energy sources are ruled ‘illegal’ and a drain on the US Economy. Which is still in a massive recession/depression. Most large companies have left the US for Europe, including all of the newer Tech companies. Rust belt now sits at nearly 40% unemployment, but Trump manages to stay popular by constantly running propaganda saying that better days are just ahead, and all the problems are someone else’s fault. Having destroyed all meaningful opposition, Trump cracks down on the internet as well, having a series of laws passed that further curtails anyone saying or doing anything against Trump or his family. Average income has fallen to lows not seen since the 1930’s, while Trump and anyone in his circle are now ‘Trillionaires’ or close to it, as the value of the dollar outside the US is close to worthless.
2023 — Citing the need for ‘stability’ Trump delays the election until the economy improves. The law states that only Trump can reinstate the election. Using the Constitution he ‘adjourns’ congress, and starts just making laws on his own. Republicans don’t fight him and the media, now just a Trump run cheering show, congratulate him on ‘his bold and decisive leadership’ A few lone Republican’s speak out and and vanish, never to be seen or spoken of again.

Depressing.. No I don’t think this will actually happen, though I didn’t think he’d get ‘elected’ either.
