I've read many great success stories over the past year here at the DKos of members in unfortunate situations being connected with the right people and I'm hoping with my current situation I might be able to some day share the same success story.
First my situation...
After graduating with my masters degree from Purdue University in 2006 I accepted a job in Orange County, CA working as a design engineer for a start-up company that specializes in embedded memory. Over the past couple years I've learned a lot and built a strong career. At the beginning of 2009, management informed us we were all going to be paid 85% of our salary while we get through the bad economy with a promise of receiving 150% of that overdue pay when things get stronger. Well, now it's worse. Two weeks ago they only paid us 60% of our 85% salaries. And they've yet to pay us for this past pay period that ended last Friday. To date they owe us 183.2 hours which doesn't even include accrued vacation time.
