Where's the motive? The right is always making pointless accusations against a liberal idea, but when you ask, "what are the motives supporting these accusations?" They'll be left speechless.
Let's look at some examples...
Supporting the Troops... When a republican politician or right wing commentator launches attacks against liberals for not supporting the troops one needs to ask, "What is the motive for that liberal to hate the troops and not support them? Why would a liberal hate some one who's very job it is to protect them from harm?" And now their accusations don't make any sense.
Just recently Bill O'Reilly claimed that the ACLU is the biggest enabler of terrorism in America. Someone needs to ask Bill O'Reilly, "What are the motives for the ACLU, which is a group of Americans, to enable terrorism? Do they want to be put more in danger? Do they want their families to be put in danger?" And now Bill O'Reilly's accusations don't make any sense.
Liberal Hollywood... It's not unrecognized that the majority of Hollywood is very liberal. Being a celebrity makes your opinions more known throughout the country. The right hates this liberal influence from Hollywood and attacks it often. One example that's very played out comes from Rosie O'Donnel. Now someone needs to ask, "What is Rosie's motives for her liberal views? Does she not like the tax cuts Bush gave her?" Someone as rich and famous as Rosie O'Donnell probably wouldn't see any personal benefits from a liberal government. In fact she'll probably find her taxes increased. So what's her motives? And now their accusations don't make any sense.
Global Warming... The funny thing with global warming is that it's based on well accepted scientific conclusions, not on personal opinion. Something like the abortion issue is an opinion debate, global warming is science. So when the right tries hard to disprove global warming and attack anyone who wants to curb it someone needs to ask the right, "What is the liberal motive in acknowledging global warming and wanting to fight it's affects? How does a liberal benefit from such a plan?" And now their accusations don't make any sense.
The idea here is most right wing accusations come with no motive. Next time you're hounded by someone on the right making another crazy accusation about your liberal ideas ask that person. "What's my motive? How do I benefit?" And they'll be speechless.
