Hello everyone, good to be back.
This week, I will be here answering your questions on issues related to the economy. With new reports that 63,000 jobs were lost last month, with the dollar in freefall, with an economic stimulus package geared completely toward consumption, our economy is clearly in a lot of trouble.
We should be investing in our nation's infrastructure. We need to seriously invest in road, bridge, and sewer repair, but we also need to be investing in our educational and technological infrastructure. We should be building schools, and increasing access to broadband.
A little bit about myself for those of you joining in our discussion for the first time. I spent seven years on active duty in the US Air Force, and now serve in the Air Force Reserve. While on active duty, I earned my Master's Degree in Economics, and currently teach economics at a local community college. I am running for the U.S. Congress in Nebraska's Second District.
