The link (shown at the end of my rant) which I saw on www.nakedcapitalism.com, shook me quite a bit today.
I thought it important enough to publisize it here on DKOS.
I remember when Reagan was elected, I thought we were all screwed, what with Reagan’s Star Wars program (turned out to be bs) and his attacks on unions, Iran/Contra etc.
I thought “it can’t get any worse”.
Then Bush Sr attacked Iraq and screwed up the US economy.
And again I thought, “ok, this is the worst”.
Then Clinton came along and folded like a cheap umbrella on health care, congradulated himself on an economy that happened to coincide with a technological revolution that ushered in the Internet, and topped it off by signing a bill to get rid of the Glass-Stegall Act.
My father took me to a town hall type of meeting with Authur Levitt, the retiring Chairman of the SEC (pushed out?), who took it upon himself to go out and tell people what was coming down the pike.
And, it took a few years, but sure enough 2008 and the worst recession in 80 years hit us.
Clinton was the best President the Republicans ever had (snark).
Then we got Bush/Cheney, or should I say Cheney/Bush?
I was embarrassed about how niave I was.
Like, Cheney can get away with this?
I trust I don’t have to rehash all the crap those guys pulled.
So I was, “this is definately the worst it can get”.
Then President Obama was elected, because I guess Cheney was horrifying?
And Obama and the Democrats did get the ACA passed.
And saved Wall St. during the 2008 crash, but the Vampire Squid monster is just as bad as ever?
(I don’t own any stocks or EFT’s right now. Maybe stupid. Jury is out).
But Obama and Hillary Clinton are corporate Democrats, so Obama didn’t exactly work out.
I was, “ok, maybe we can improve on this”.
Now we have Trump.
And I thought “how did it get this bad?” This has to be the worst it can get”.
Please, please read the following article I have linked below:

Please GOTV in 2020 and ask them to vote for the Democrat.
It almost seems impossible, but maybe our country, our culture, can be degraded even more than Trump has already done.
