Report from Climate Change meeting with Rep. Ed Perlmutter's staff.
Garrett Lukken, Constituent Services Representative led the meeting for the Congressman's staff. Maryah Lauer, Grassroots Organizing Fellow of Friends of the Earth and a staffer from Food and Water Watch along with about a other dozen citizens were there.
We presented a petition signed by 300 of Ed's constituents asking him to support the Green New Deal. (Arvadans for Progressive Action signed this letter.)

The ask goes much farther than the current resolution in Congress:

Here is a good explainer of the issue.

The ask from the group to Rep. Perlmutter was to support the Green New Deal resolution and the more far-reaching plan.
Ed's staff said he was studying the issue and would let us know what he decided.
I asked if we could schedule a Town Hall type event with Ed and Garrett offered a Congressman in the Grocery store event. I said "deal" and that event will be scheduled after consulting with the strategy team of the Coalition.
