He was a WWII veteran, a husband, a father, a grandfather and a wonderful man loved by everyone. Although I don't think he was aware of DKos, he spent his entire life espousing the same progressive ideals that this site has been fighting for for years. For many years he was a local Democratic committeeman and was always very active in his community, serving on the Board of Ed., the Rec Commission and was primarily responsible for the building of a new public library. He instilled in his 2 sons an empathy for the underprivileged and the desire for fairness and equality for all. He touched the lives of so many people and will be sorely missed. Goodbye Dad. I want to thank everyone for all the kind words. It is so greatly appreciated...
