I don't often write diaries. I tend to lurk. I know this diary is going to be considered "illegal" and a bunch of people are going to ask me to delete it, but this is something i feel everyone needs to know. One of my favorite tweeters, @GottaLaff posted an article on her website that proves, once and for all, that Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld (at least) are war criminals and should be prosecuted thusly. This health care debacle has shown us all that a 10% lunatic fringe can hijack policy, common sense, and reason in this country. With word that the White House is considering dropping the public option, in lieu of the three-quarters of this country that actually wants it, we all need to start calling and writing the White House every day.

If we don't fight for this harder than we have ever fought for anything, we're going to lose our chance. And we may lose that chance forever.

She must think the use of footnotes suddenly makes the ridiculous things she says look more correct, because the godzilla from wasilla responded (on facebook) to defend her death panel insanity.

Before the jump, Let me say I am just about 100% convinced after reading it that someone did this work for her since it's not covered in exclamation marks and written in absolute jibberish. Don't get me wrong- it's bad. But it's not Sarah Palin bad.

That being said, the entire thing is a completely incorrect farce.

There's been a lot in the news lately to take attention away from a couple of whackjobs and their violent wishes for the American People. Not to say Palin, Honduras, the Public Option, Al Franken, and (most importantly) Iran aren't significant news stories. They are.

In case everyone forgot, or missed it, here is what Michael Scheuer said on Glenn Beck's "news" program on 6/30:

"the only chance we have as a country right now is for Osama bin Laden to deploy and detonate a major weapon in the United States. Because it's going to take a grassroots, bottom-up pressure, because these politicians prize their office, prize the praise of the media and the Europeans. Only -- it's an absurd situation. Again, only Osama can execute an attack which will force Americans to demand that their government protect them effectively, consistently, and with as much violence as necessary."

I have still heard no apology and no attempt to take what was said back.
So the action must march on.

Last night, I posted my first diary, "My adventures in foxnews boycotting" which generated a suprising amount of comments and recs. In it was information about the process of boycotting the advertisers of foxnews. I give a comprehensive list of advertisers I have contacted, as well as documentation of their responses (or non-responses) as well as tips for how to deal with the companies..

In it, I am issuing a call to arms- contact at least 5 companies every day, asking them (always politely!!) to remove their advertising from fox news due to the unimaginable awfulness of the comments on the glenn beck show.
I would appreciate if this diary could get the same treatment. I am trying to post it much earlier in the day, and i will continually update it as the responses roll in.

So, like a lot of you, i have never posted a diary. I have had ideas to, don't get me wrong, but nothing that ever clicked.
That is-- until today.

After seeing what was said on Glenn Beck's "news" program last night I was filled with such an intense rage that I had to do something. So I spent my day calling and emailing foxnews advertisers letting them know that, unless they condemned yesterday's statement or pulled their advertising from faux news they would lose my business, my fiancee's business, and my family's business.

This is a log of how it's been going down.
