While the Obama administration is bending over backward to ensure an orderly transition of power, the Trump people are apparently too busy having staff shake-ups to do the most basic things. Like picking up the phone and calling the State Department or the Defense Department.

State Department spokeswoman Elizabeth Trudeau said on Tuesday that the department has not heard from Trump's transition team, according to Al-Monitor reporter Laura Rozen. [...]

"As of this moment, there's not been any contact from the president-elect's transition team," [Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff] Davis said. "We stand ready to assist the president-elect's transition team with a smooth and orderly transition in the interest of national security and for our country."

It does not look like the “make the trains run on time” cadre of professional Republicans has managed to wrest control from Donald Trump’s amateur vanity candidate inner circle yet.
