Earlier today, former Republican Rep. from Wisconsin Sean Duffy, newly hired as a “conservative pundit” on CNN, came by to try and throw doubt on U.S. Army Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman’s testimony on Trump’s Ukrainian dealings. His pathetic attempt at throwing doubt on Vindman’s loyalty to the United States was not well received by CNN host John Berman, but Duffy was only doing what the Republican complicity machine had concocted. Calling out the fact Vindman was born in the Ukraine (his family immigrated to the U.S. when he was three-years-old), did not go down well with much of anyone as Sean Duffy has about as much integrity as an old cobweb. Realizing that he needed to do something resembling damage control, Duffy went to his Twitter account to post this:
An interesting note here is that the fact that Mr. Vindman is a adviser who gives “ADVICE” is not a “point,” when you lead by questioning his loyalty. Anyway, Duffy’s tweet was very quickly ratioed* into the netherworld.
Great American actor Jeffrey Wright dropped in to tell Duffy how he felt.
And then there were the thoughts most of us had.
Fellow Wisconsin Representative Gwen Moore had some thoughts on Sean Duffy.
And a little walk down memory lane for Dirtbag Duffy.
And then, some of my favorite memes.
And here’s to using reality television for good.
But let’s remember one thing.
Dirtbag Duffy deserves this.
But still, CNN did hire him.
And the comments on his backpedaling were pretty sweet.
And most importantly, the question.
*Getting “ratioed” is when there are considerably more responses to one’s tweet than retweets, usually signifying your tweet did not go over well. At all.
