Energy Bill to Pass Tomorrow

In a big win for environmental groups, controversial plans to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling are set to be dropped from the final bill.

"I don't think it's going to be in the bill,'' Republican negotiator Sen. Trent Lott of Mississippi told reporters late on Friday, when asked about ANWR drilling.

Guess that loan vs grant thing in the Senate really was the first sign of a Republican Revolt. Now the Administration can't get ANWR passed. What's next to give up?
