Mr. Sutton:
I apologize if I cut you off today during our debate. My cell phone may have been acting up, but I want you to know that I did not hang up on you.
I enjoyed talking with you today on your radio show. Unfortunately, debating over the phone can be difficult. It is easy to talk over each other, preventing both of us from getting our points across.
I would like to propose a debate on your blog. I challenge you to lay out your position on President Bush's spy program in your next blog entry. I will then respond with my take on the matter. You seem very confident in your position, so I would believe you would relish this opportunity.
Additionally, this will allow your listeners to comment in a quiet and dignified way.
Regards,
Disconnected Chad from Strasburg

HIS RESPONSE, NOTICE HIS CHANGE IN TONE AND WEAK POSITION
---------------------------------------
Chad,
I would welcome you back to my show anytime for another spirited discussion. Blogs are fine, but voice is better, and I prefer that for a debate setting because of time constraints. My position that I was trying to get across to you was that I want to see what our government can craft to combat terror in a new war, in a new time. That was all. I do think that an investigation is good, and an examination is needed. I sincerely do not care about the politics of the matter, but rather the reality of terrorism with which we must come to grips. I appreciate the fact that you are involved and are taking the time to join us on the show as well as this e-mail. Thank you for Staying Engaged.
Best regards,
Gary Sutton
