Within the articles discussing the debate over whether Dean should accept matching funds (and I say any Democrat who can raise more than $45 million should DEFINITELY forego them) was an interesting little tidbit to me:

Candidates who take the matching funds can get up to $18.7 million and are limited to spending about $45 million through the primary season. Dean reported raising $25 million as of September 30; he has raised about $5 million since then, aides say.
I'm pretty sure some of that $5 million was spillage over from the 3rd qtr drive, but to me that's still pretty impressive given that it comes on the heels of a maniacal 3rd qtr spree and the Dean campaign has been pretty low-key in October with regards to internet fundraising.
Dean's looking good to match his 3rd quarter totals, something I frankly did not expect. What say you, too early to start yet another fundraising thread?
