Democratic strategist and former Gore campaign manager Donna
Brazille gave her analysis of the presidential race and a few
other races in an online
chat today with the Washington Post. She said the Wesley
Clark campaign is "on fire" with momentum and
she implied it is coming down to a race between Clark and Dean.
Without naming any specific candidates she said it is "quitting
time" for some of the Democratic candidates and they
should get out of the race. She said the Democratic nominee can
give Bush a tough fight in 2004 by focusing on national security
and terrorism.
The Clark is making a dramatic come back. I can feel it and I
know when a campaign is on fire.
But, I believe it's quitting time for some of the Democratic
candidates.
I believe the Democrats will give this Administration a tough
fight in 2004, on national security and his handling on the war
on terrorism.
