Mathews as Shill

Chris Mathews was just 'interviewing' the Gillespie.

And it sounded so much like a GOP strategy meeting it gave me the chills. Among the Talking Points was.. "Theres something vaguely disgusting about Deans response of 'ill show you mine if you show me yours' to GOP demands he open his records". (Close paraphrase). Of course we've become used to sniping from the media flacks of the GOP but its becoming so open as to be laughable.

In another 'clever bit of spin' Mathews spoke of "Dean bringing medical records, xrays <snip> in order to avoid the draft" then asked if it would give Bush a leg up because he has served in the national guard. (Paraphrases again). Intimating of course that Dean was a coward because the army wouldnt accept him.. while Awol Bush was somehow a hero.

I literally stopped watching american media except for CNN occasionally. And then only the foreign versions of CNN when possible. (For those who arent aware CNN has totally different versions for the american audience that is very strongly censored). It is no wonder Americans think the way they do. They are fed their doublethink reliably and up to the minute.
