"
The future of the American people should not be mortgaged to the enormous burden of debt incurred ..."
"This debt endangers America's long-term prospects for political health and economic prosperity," he said. "The issue of America's debt must be resolved in a manner that is fair and does not unjustly burden a struggling nation at its moment of hope and promise."
The crater of debt into which Bush has plunged the U.S. economy is going to take a long time to climb out of. We won't do it without sacrifice by everyone. We need a strong leader who's willing to do what it takes to fix this -- the first step is to acknowledge that debt is indeed a problem as they do in the quotes above.
Well, when it suits Bush politically, he seems perfectly willing to admit debt is a national burden, because the quotes above are Bush talking
about Iraq. Here's the real report of what he said.
"The future of the American Iraqi people should not be mortgaged to the enormous burden of debt incurred to enrich Bush's Saddam Hussein's regime," Bush said.
"This debt endangers America's Iraq's long-term prospects for political health and economic prosperity," he said. "The issue of America's Iraq's debt must be resolved in a manner that is fair and does not unjustly burden a struggling nation at its moment of hope and promise."
Bush is a man who cares nothing for his country. Hell, he appears not to even care about his daughters, because he's doing his damndest to destroy their future and saddle them with the economic disaster towards which he has directed the U.S. He cares only about himself. He will say whatever is convenient, no matter the depth of the lies he must tell.
We need to get rid of him as president.
