Working with an A/V guy and another writer, we scripted out half a dozen potential ads for the "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest at Moveon.org. However, family and business problems jumped up and blocked the basket before I could drive any of them home. Since the deadline is past, I thought I'd toss one or two in here.

WHITE ROOM
INTERIOR
A cold, starkly white room with no furniture and bright, directionless light. A YOUNG WOMAN stands in the center of the room. She is wearing a shapeless gray dress, no shoes, and appears tired and afraid.
YOUNG WOMAN
Hello! Hello! Can anyone hear me?
Suddenly, a slot opens in one of the walls with a sharp SNAP. A pair of expressionless, unblinking eyes can be seen through the slot. The woman hurries closer.
YOUNG WOMAN
Thank God! I've been in here for... I don't know how long. When do I get out?
A man's voice is heard from the far side of the wall.
VOICE
You don't.
YOUNG WOMAN
But... why am I here??
VOICE
You don't need to know.
YOUNG WOMAN
Can I call a lawyer?
VOICE
No.
YOUNG WOMAN (increasingly frantic)
What about my family?
VOICE
No.
YOUNG WOMAN
I'm an American citizen! I have rights!
VOICE
Not any more.
The slot closes with another loud SNAP. The screen fades to white. Lettering gradually appears
