The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee has a
new Scoop blog worth checking out. It'll bear watching this campaign season. It's cool to see such a large institutional player embrace a blog with diaries.
On another note, the Bloggies have nominated three left-of-center blogs as "top political blog". That sounds really cool (and it is), except that Instapundit is the sole nominee from the Right. So he doesn't have to split the vote. So we need to boost our turnout. Vote for either Daily Kos, Josh Marshall's Talking Points Memo, or Tom Tomorrow's This Modern World. (The Bloggies site is down as I write this.)
Also vote for Rusty's Kuro5hin.org as best weblog community. Rusty wrote Scoop and has been invaluable in keeping this site running in the face of crushing traffic.
Elsewhere in the self-promotional sphere, Instapundit and Daily Kos are neck and neck for "highest-trafficked political blog" status. My traffic has been recently boosted by the elections, so he still has the upper hand.
Finally, it looks like the wingnuts are trying to Googlebomb Hillary Clinton into the phrase "miserable failure". They're also trying to drag Michael Moore into the phrase (though I'm not sure how winning an Oscar and writing a best-seller or three constitutes being a "miserable failure"). In any case, it's not working. Our fearfull, fear-mongering leader is still the real miserable failure.
