If you live in New Hampshire or know anyone in New Hampshire
please read what I have to say.
I cannot in good conscience vote for a Democratic nominee who
supported the war in Iraq. That would be completely against
everything inside my heart, soul, and mind. It would be giving in
to all of the things that have gone wrong in our country since
Bush took over with his little coup in Florida. The Democratic
party is supposed to represent an alternative. We are supposed to
give people a reason to vote against Bush. In the past few weeks
we have instead become a slow motion train wreck and we have let
those who started this god awful war in Iraq completely take over
our party. I do not want the Democratic party to become a
"pro-war" party where we no longer have any semblence
of values and will go along with wars that satisfy the greed and
evil of a few. If that is what the Democratic party has become I
guess I won't be in the party very much longer.
For many months the two top candidates in this race were
Howard Dean and Wesley Clark. Most people here in Kos world
thought one or the other would become the nominee. They both
spoke out loudly and strongly against Bush, the war in Iraq, the
Patriot Act, and all of the things Bush has done to destroy
democracy itself.
Iowa changed everything. It gave the momentum to two
candidates who were 100% for the war in Iraq which has taken the
lives of over 500 of our soldiers and thousands of Iraqis and
left many thousands of our soldiers to live the rest of their
lives missing arms and legs. John Kerry, John Edwards, and Joe
Lieberman were 100% for the war in Iraq. They voted for it. They
thought it was a good idea. They saw nothing wrong with it. They
still to this day do not see anything wrong with starting a war
based on lies as a phony pretense to invade a country. No
remorse, none at all. If it is morally acceptable to kill people
and take their country and steal their oil then we might as well
just open the doors of all of the prisons and let all of the
inmates go free because every robber and murderer can make just
as convincing a case to justify their actions as Bush and
Congress have done. Kerry, Edwards, and Lieberman were not fooled
by Bush, they were not misled, if eighty-something year old Sen.
Robert Byrd could see what a sham this war was they could see it
too but they did it anyway. If any of them get elected we can
expect them to do the very same thing that Bush did and know they
too could get away with it. they might do the same thing Bush
did. It was wrong, it was evil, it was immoral. For those who say
well I will vote for anybody but Bush I feel that way too but I
cannot in good conscience vote for John Kerry and John Edwards
and I will not do so if they are nominated. They are part of the
problem, they are not a solution no matter what the polls say or
how many times the media whores tell us that. If our party
nominates either of them I will just have to vote for some
obscure third party because I will not vote for Nader nor would I
ever vote for Bush. If the Democratic Party selects a pro-war
candidate I will no longer have a party. It will be another nail
in the coffin of democracy.
There are 150,000 young men and women in Iraq. Their only
voice will be the thousands of voters in New Hampshire who will
brave the cold tomorrow. Each vote will count many thousands of
times over because each New Hampshire voter will be representing
our soldiers and each and every one of us who is an American and
the tens of millions of people who marched all over the world to
stop Bush and his war. It is an awesome responsibility because
the fate of our nation and the world rests in the hands of just a
few people.
If you live in New Hampshire please VOTE for Howard
Dean or Wesley Clark. They are the only
two voices left in the Democratic party who were against the war,
they are the only two who will hold Bush accountable if they are
the nominee. They both need your votes, if you can't decide which
one to vote for just flip a coin. If we eliminate them we will
become a pro-war Democratic Party that will differ very little
from the Republicans. Bush will have won, the neo-con fanatics
will have won because they will get away with a war that the
whole world did not want and there will be nothing to stop them
from doing it again regardless of whether the Democratic nominee
or Bush wins in November.
Until Iowa there was tremendous hope that things really would
change. Now that hope hangs by a sliver. In less than a week we
have gone from being an opposition party to a party that is on
the verge of nominating one of two members of Congress who went
right along with what Bush did. Karl Rove and his media whores
are laughing their asses off at us because they pulled it off
again. If you are a Dean supporter who switched to someone else
go back to Dean, if you can't go back to Dean go to Clark. If you
are a Clark supporter who switched to someone else go back to
Clark, if you can't go back to Clark go to Dean. We cannot let
the Republicans choose a nominee for us, we cannot let the media
whores choose a nominee for us, we cannot let our party be taken
over by the Republicans.
VOTE FOR HOWARD DEAN OR VOTE FOR WESLEY CLARK!
