Que Sera Sera

I hope a bunch of Kossacks read this.

It is basically simple advice to get some rest and collect your wits.  If you are a New Hampshire voter or campaign worker,  you can only go out to do your duty.  VOTE or GOTV.

Otherwise, there's little or nothing you can do to change this election from now on.  People are going to do whatever they are going to do.

So, there's no reason to clutter up DailyKos with endless ramblings that amount to impatience.  Let's wait to see the real results,  and then figure out what they mean.

This is an important step in the election process.  But, just next week, there's another election.  Each of the campaigns will need to figure out its strategy anew,  based on Tuesday's results.

I think the following questions are what Kossacks should be thinking over:

1.  Which issues were most important in NH?
2.  Which issues were most important in Iowa and NH?  What changed?
3.  Is this election about change, or the candidate?  That is, about issues or persona, or something else altogther?
4.  What does "electable" really mean?  (Push question:  Isn't this a trick word that means whatever?)
5.  Assuming a low turnout for these three,  are Lieberman, Kucinich and Sharpton now irrelevant? Assuming, as I think likely, none of them drop out soon,  do they have any meanignful role in this election?
6.  What are the things that unite and divide the Clark, Dean, Edwards and Kerry campaigns?

In short,  I would have you look beyond the horse race and whoever wins.  I want to apply these results to the next election,  and to the Big One next November.

As the man said, "Keep your eyes on the Prize."
