Critics of the neocons are anti-Semites. And the neocons don't have any influence on the White House - the Bushies told me so. [

I love this part the best
It's true that both Bush and the people labeled neocons agree that Saddam Hussein represented a unique threat to world peace. But correlation does not mean causation. All evidence suggests that Bush formed his conclusions independently.
Yeah, by listening to his fair and balanced news filters on the morning show with Condi and Andy.
The most aggravating issue here is that Brooks is totally untruthful by failing to acknowledge that the VP is a neocon!!! And Paul Wolfowitz. And Scooter Libby. Need I go on? Not only do neoconservatives have a lot of influence on Bush, but they've been placed high up in his administration - where they have been playing fast and loose with uncorroborated intelligence reports to craft unsupported conclusions that enabled the Iraqi threat to appear mildly credible enough to pass muster in a simpering and weak Congress. Yet Brooks discounts neocon influence on Bush along with Vince Foster murder conspiracy theories.
I have lost what little respect for Brooks I had left. This piece is pathetic.
