So Club for Growth has a
Calcultor to figure out how much rescinding Bush's tax cuts would cost (they also have their ridiculous ad up--with an actor that looks nothing like the kind of farmers I see here in Michigan, he looks more like Jason Robards, I think).
I think it's BS. But I don't know taxes well enough to figure out why.
I'm married (but never paid the marriage penalty), have no dividends or kids (both lucrative items, I know). And my tax bracket didn't change. Other than Bush's $300 in 2001, I don't believe I've gotten any benefit from the bush cuts. But the calculator says I got a couple of thousand (I'd sure like to know where, because if I could find it, then Dean or some other D candidate would receive the money).
What am I missing?
