Dear Diary:
This morning I nearly fell out of bed when on the 6:00 am news NPR touts that the French government is desperately seeking an Afghani Al Qaeda member with a French passport who tried to board the AF LA flight on Friday night and didn't show up for boarding. NPR then went on to claim that said Afghani had a non-detectable bomb on him, blah blah.
I got up and checked my international news sources and both BBC and LeMonde had an item that ABC reported... but no confirmation from the French. Well, a statement has just come in from Paris:
The Interior Minister confirms that there is no information to confirm reports in the American media that a man purported to be a member of Al Qaeda intended to board AF Flight 068 Paris-Los Angeles on Chrismas Eve.
The ABC television network had reported on Tuesday night that a man, thought to be a member of Al Qaeda, was being sought by European police on the suspicion of having had a mini-bomb on him with the intention of boarding the flight.
...
Unscrupulous neocon thugs and their lying media! We're taking them out in November.
