I posted this to the morning news thread on BFA, and others are also expressing the same sentiment. Just to give props, I first ran across discussion of the Dean-Clark windshield flyers in the DailyKos diary I reference below.
I'd just like to urge the campaign to not lose our position as one of the 'high-road' campaigns -- Dean has run one of the cleanest campaigns I've ever seen, but widespread rumors of dirty-tricks-type flyers are making the rounds:

And there's no doubt that the news of these kinds of tactics are hurting Dean among some supporters:

Look, I'm a huge Dean fan. I've given $2K to the campaign, written somewhere around 60 letters, and I'll do whatever it takes to see Dean win. But when the campaign (IF the campaign was involved, that is!) engages in tactics that are at least reminicent of Bush's campaign in South Carolina in 2000 against McCain (where flyers were also quietly left on people's windshields), we lose the high ground and we lose support.
Please, if the campaign had a hand in this action, or if it even turned a blind eye to others who produced the flyers, STOP! If the campaign had nothing to do with it (as I hope), please make a public statement. We are in this to beat Bush, but these tactics (especially against another Dem candidate) are beneath us.
