In March I will be moving to the US to marry my American fiancee. I can't tell you how glad I am that I won't have to apply for a
biometric passport that doesn't even exist yet. Tom Ridge is concerned about security? Fair enough, I'm sure many people will understand.
What they probably won't understand is this; the US tells Brazil off for "inconveniencing travellers" from the US by fingerprinting and photographing them. Brazil's own security interests must take a back seat to the convenience of the American traveller - surely any reasonable person can see that!
