This is just a friendly reminder that we still have two and a half weeks to go, and a Kerry win is far from secure. I was pretty giddy, too, after watching Kerry turn in such strong performances at the debates, and seeing the polls trend towards sanity. I'm a little worried, though, that we're starting to look to far ahead. Already, the GOTV diaries have disappeared from this page and "When JFK is president..." posts are proliferating.

In particular, notice the sine wave of Bush and Kerry ratings. Kerry is up a bit now, but who's to say the "Debate Bounce" will be any more durable than the convention bounces?
So: The point is we need to refocus on winning an incredibly tight race. Don't stop dreaming about the Kerry presidency, but for heaven's sake, don't stop working for it either.
If you agree with the sentiments of this post, don't bother rating it -- do something pro-Kerry in the next thirty minutes - however small.
Write a letter to the editor.
Print out a political cartoon and post it in your office.
Give, just a little more to the DNC , ACT, MoveON or Operation Truth.
Wear a sticky nametag tomorrow that says "I'm pro-Kerry. Ask me why."
I know many of you are already doing everything your time, money and sanity will permit, but: two more weeks, two more weeks, two more weeks.
