Remember when Reagan was dubbed the Teflon President? Accusations just didn't stick to him (no matter how well founded), because he was able to "rise above" the fray. I think we could do well to co-opt that meme, because we have a similar mojo on our side, at last.
Maybe it's time to get the SCLM to focus on an emerging truth: Teflon John. All this mud the Republicans are throwing at him? It ain't sticking.
Flip-flop? It's flopping. Swifty Boat slanders? Got sunk. Global test? Doesn't pass the smell test.
This is a man who's stood up under real enemy fire--and taken real shrapnel--and kept standing. The GOP can sling slime all they want. It ain't gonna slow him down.
