So I'm planning to take my ballot in to the elections office tomorrow in Gladstone (if it's open; if not I'll wait 'til Monday).
I'm pretty clear on how I'm voting for most stuff, especially when it comes to national, state, and local office (hint: not Republican).
I'm also clear on most of the initiatives--but not all. So, I'm looking for feedback, webfooted dkos people.
Here they are in a nutshell:
- 31--lets you postpone the election if a nominee for a post dies
- 32--lets taxes & fees from motor homes be used for nonhighway purposes
- 33--raises medical marijuana possession limit
- 34--the "50/50" plan for the Tillamook and Clatsop forests
- 35--caps damage awards when patients sue healthcare providers
- 36--gay-bashing constitutional amendment declaring marriage as being between one man and one woman
- 37--government has to pay land owners when land use restrictions reduce property value
- 38--Abolishes SAIF, the public State Accident Insurance Fund
How are you planning to vote on these? Which ones are absolutely, positively no-brainers? Which ones have you poring over the Voters' Pamphlet looking at who paid for statements for and against?
