I've previously been reporting the results of my meticulous noting of every political bumper sticker I see while driving around the Cincinnati, Ohio area. After 100 total stickers sighted by me, the count was 57-43 for Bush, and was exactly the same after 200 stickers. At 300 the totals had improved to 54-46 for Bush. And they've been improving ever since. At 400, the count was 210 for Bush, 190 for Kerry, which translates to
52.5% for Bush, 47.5% for Kerry.
Now my count has reached 500 total stickers, and the totals are 255 for Bush, 245 for Kerry, which equals 51% for Bush, 49% for Kerry. I'm hoping it evens up completely by election day, but if Kerry takes 49% of the vote in the Cincinnati area, he is iron-clad guaranteed to win Ohio. One week to go!
