This is my first diary and it's a plea for help. There are Election Day tech needs in Ohio. A friend of mine (actually my ex-, but still a friend) in CA got a call from K/E Ohio asking him to try to put together troubleshooting tech teams for sites around Ohio. They are still short on the people, because there are multiple sites. You know their computers are going to be used to the extreme on the day before and Election Day. They need people who can troubleshoot and repair fast, to keep the information flowing. If you can get yourself there and have these skills, please volunteer to go. His cell number in CA is
916-549-5996 or try his email justsolutions@lycos.com
If you've still got some money on your credit cards and can get a plane ticket and this is your area, call. If you're the person people go to to fix their computers or install hardware or fix software glitches, call. If you've been trying to figure out a way to help but hate calling people and knocking on doors, this is a good opportunity.
Many thanks for listening. All suggestions are welcome. And thanks to the entire community--I have stayed sane these past few months reading Kos.
