Although I have been caught up in political conversations most of my adult life, I have only been caught up in KOS for a few days. What I say next will get me branded as a nice guy or a troll, but I say it anyway:
You guys are great. I have met some of you in my other lifetime as a chat host with CNN. My nick then was the same as it is now, HiF|yer. I supervised chats with hundreds of visitors at a time. Most of them were just friendly people with strong opinions.
Much the same as I find here.
This issue of OBL, then, caught me by surprise. How could so many members think OBL could change the outcome of an election in the USA? I have spent the better part of the last 2 hours monitoring the response of those of you who chose to offer an opinion.
It is clear that OBL and Bush were joined at the hip on one horrible day. It is not clear to me that this was the only thing they were joined at. I may be a conspiracy theorist, but I have always suspected that something more was behind the kimono.
Bush, his father, and the Saudis are really close. No argument about that. When 43 decided not to 'worry' about OBL anymore, in the run-up to his Iraq adventure, that sealed the deal in my mind.
He was in cahoots with OBL--or he was simply a quitter. Either way, W was the winner in another unwinnable, outrageous situation.
He's gotta go. We all seem to agree on that. Nov 2 is not soon enough for me...but I'll take what I can get ;-)) So now to my question:
