According to the
Post's Executive Editor Len Downie, the solution to the Post's recent 10% circulation decline is to become more like the USA Today:
In an effort to win new readers, Downie said Post reporters will be required to write shorter stories. The paper's design and copy editors will be given more authority to make room for more photographs and graphics.
Of course the circulation decline wouldn't have anything to do with the how the paper that once brought down a terrible president cheered on an even worse president.
Go ahead Fred Hiatt, keep on beating those drums. Hey Woodie, give Colin our regards.
In other WaPo staff news, white man Phil Bennett leapfrogs a black man and a woman to become the Managing Editor.
Now where's my copy of the City Paper . . .
