I just got off the phone with my husband, who had himself just gotten back from voting. He drove a friend to the voting station, and on the way convinced the friend to vote Kerry. Then while he was waiting for his friend to finish voting, he ran into two high school friends who were voting for Bush -- repeating the Kerry will be weak talking points.
My husband said "That's crap. Kerry's not going to be weak. And Bush has an extreme agenda and who knows how many more wars Bush will start. North Korea, Iran. And we're isolated. Maybe you think we don't need France and Germany, but who's Bush going to piss off next? Bush is an extremist and we need Kerry."
So just as my husband was getting ready to leave, his high school friends came out of the booth and said "Hey, we just voted for Kerry!"
Now, okay, we live in a blue state, but I'm proud of my guy and this is going to help us win the popular vote.
