I live in Columbus. Yesterday I was a poll runner for K/E at a working-class precinct, where there were far more democrats registered, and as the day wore on it became clear that those good people were getting out to the polls to vote. Some of them were voting for the first time, or for the first time in years. During late afternoon phone banking so many people I reached in pretty underprivileged neighborhoods were reporting that they had indeed voted-- for K/E. (more...)
A friend of mine was doing voter protection from early a.m. onward at a working class precinct in the south of the city. She reported unprecedented turnout and that the polling place wasn't closed until AFTER MIDNIGHT because there were so many people in line to vote. The poll workers couldn't believe it. And she reports that the folks there were talking 2 to 1 in favor of Kerry, thumbs up for their votes for Kerry,.
Millions of new voters and newly-energized voters cast their votes yesterday for K/E in Ohio. The democrats in Ohio registered something like 10 times as many new voters as repubs did. Yet supposedly Bush received over 100,000 more votes than Kerry. From my experience, from exit polls, from my friend's experience, from the experience of many phone bankers I was working with yesterday, it simply does not match the facts as they occurred on the ground that Bush could win Ohio.
I believe that my Ohio vote was stolen by the Diebold electronic systems used to tabulate votes in this state. I believe that my Ohio vote has been stolen by a rigged system set up under the watch of a Republican secretary of state and a Republican-controlled state elections office.
I believe that thousands of votes cast by those good hard working people who came out for the first time to vote, who voted for the first time in years, who stood in line for two, four, six or even eight hours to vote when they needed to be working, or taking care of their kids, but they went to vote because they knew they could make a difference--- their votes have been stolen by rigged electronic tabulation here in Ohio.
I WANT SPECIFIC INFORMATION AND REMEDIES:
**I want to know if/how it is possible to trace any software patch vote-flipping, now that the repubs have had several hours after polling closed to remove the patches. Is it traceable in the system that a patch was at work?
**I want to know who the people were who were responsible for setting up and monitoring the central computing for the votes in Ohio, and I want to know their backgrounds.
**I want to know what exactly the process was for setting up the voting machines in Ohio, and for monitoring-- if at all-- the electronic vote tabulation last night and today.
**I want to know how it is possible for Bush to have been behind in polls in Ohio in the two days before the election, for him to have been behind in exit polls in Ohio, for the democrats to have registered so many more new voters than republicans did, for there to be such unprecedented turnout in working class and minority areas in Ohio, and for Bush to come out with over 100,000 more votes than Kerry. The figures are not adding up.
MY VOTE HAS BEEN STOLEN BY DIEBOLD AND BY KEN BLACKWELL AND BY THE SECRET SOFTWARE PATCHES AND CODES. AND I AM MAD AS HELL.
