As a young...almost voter (missed voting by 6 months) I was appalled by the numbers of voters 18-24. Only one in 5 voted. I know that I made sure all my friends old enough to vote did.
As I will be in college during the next elections, I think there must be a larger grassroots push by students everywhere to galvanize and mobilize the college population. But it cannot just be at OSU or UF or UT or the large schools/smaller motivated ivys and liberal arts schools etc. There is a large, maybe a majority, of this age group that go to small state schools and community colleges. I think there needs to be a bigger effort to get out this vote in the future too.
Any thoughts?
