The number one reason I wanted to see Bush lose (and trust me, there are a lot of reasons) is just to see him humiliated. Any man who thinks he's carrying out God's will deserves to be struck by lightning. But, fact is, the bastard didn't lose.
Not all is lost, however, in the humiliation game. Many two-term presidents have gone down poorly in history. Calvin Coolidge did, well, nothing while the stage was set for the Great Depression. U.S. Grant (who was hailed as a hero for years after his death) was plagued by scandal and is today considered mediocre at best as President.
This diary has two points. First, it's our duty to make sure Bush's legacy is forever tarnished. Granted, he's helped us out a lot by f***ing things up. However, we have work to do, too. Reagan supporters have been working 24/7 to ensure that their man gets buildings named after him; we have to do the opposite to Bush. I'd love to see a think tank or some organization set up to constantly point out Bush's screwups and how he's messed our country up after he leaves. What say you guys? How can we organize this, and what can we do?
The second reason of the diary is to ask you guys which two-term president has been the worst? The definition of two-term is loose here...LBJ can count if you want him to. As for me, chalk one vote for Reagan.
