Here's my hit list (and I'm talking electorally, Mr. Ashcroft, so back the f*&k off!)
1. Rick Santorum -- this should be our crusade for 2006. Let's take all our 2004 rage and focus it here in blue PA to oust a scary ass Senator who has no business representing this state
More below the fold
- Mike DeWine -- sorry, I know he's supposedly moderate and popular, but we need to work on Ohio anyway. Let's find an opponent.
- Trent Lott -- this is sort of like past efforts to knock off Jesse Helms in NC, but we came close in those races and built infrastructure that helped Dems in that state. let's repeat and do better in MS
- George Allen -- VA elects Democrats statewide. The state has lots of potential candidates. Allen is a lackluster individual who does not deserve this seat. Let's oust him
- Olympia Snowe -- make her pay for being a Republican in a divided country
- Linc Chafee -- ditto. Put pressure on him that he'll face a messy re-election unless he distances himself from Bush and possibly goes the Jeffords route. We need to threaten him more than actually replace him
- Jim Talent (MO) -- Come on Nancy, run again!
- John Ensign (NV) -- may be hard to unseat, but you never know.
Ok, how is this priority list? Who's going to challenge these people? Who's vulnerable? Share your intelligence about any possible retirements here too. We'll need to start thinkign about this so we can block judicial appointments and other Presidential appointments.
