According to this
Boston Globe artilce, Al Gore is starting and Chairing a new
"investment firm to seek out companies taking a responsible stance on big global issues like climate change."
Gore is working with former Goldman Sachs folks to create the fund. It is expected to start in 2005 and will be based in London. 5% of profits will be put into a "charitable foundation focused on exploring issues of sustainable economic growth."
Looks like Al is putting his money were his mouth is. I know many people that would like to invest in social and environmental responsible companies and companies with strong corporate governance. I hope Gore will look at the corporate governance issue too.
