There will be more in depth diaries in the future but I had to get the ball rolling with something. This is my first diary. God willing it will not be my last.
We start with the disputed elections in "The" Ukraine. One may have cheated; both may have cheated but the fact that all of you, the Western and Eastern world instantly on one side or another says a lot about the culture of civilizations. No one really seems to care about truth and justice but that there side shows themselves to be victorious. At the risk of being called a communist, fascist or any other name let me say that this is what the great democracy does. It divides nations. This is self-evident in the world. Rich Vs. Poor, White Vs. Black, Christian Vs. Atheist, And Muslim Vs. Jew. Democracy doesn't seem like the solution in Ukraine or the rest of the world. It seems like the problem.
Some may argue that it's just long standing opinions being expressed and that that is the beauty of democracy. Conversely, it is hardships, trials and tribulations that cause the dividing of nations. If democracy was a fair and just solution the divisions wouldn't be based on, in many circumstances, economic status or race and religion. If people are to be divided let us divide among the lines of justice and injustice. In such cases Let GOD be true and every man a liar.
Clearly it is truth to say that democracy not only encourages such divisions but needs it to survive however, with the globalization of the world both politically and economically nations simply cannot afford to be divided. On the contrary nations will need to unite as much as possible. And, even expand its united front across the globe through unbreakable ties with other sovereign nations.
Democracy is clearly not the way. Nor is communism, fascism Islamic theocracies. So what is left? Aside from an international dictatorship with Jesus at as ruler what other options remain. Certainly a Christian theocracy is out of the question as it demands it's ruler be Christ, contrary to what the "religious right" will tell you. I think the only way, now I stress this is an American solution and is not to be thought as a solution for all the world, contrary to what America thinks democracy IS, America must elect a President and a Vice President in the following manner. The winner of the popular vote should be declared President. The Second winner should be declared vice President (as long as it remains in the confines of the two party system).
It is a simple solution but it doesn't stop with that. The catch is that both the President and vice President have power to veto any incoming law. The reason behind this is simple; nothing will ever get done in America as long as one party is fighting the other. America must realize that America succeeds together or America falls together;
It is a solution that would never take hold but it is the opinion of the author that Democracy in America, in its current form will be the death of American power; for better or for worst.
I put it to the floor. Are there any interesting ideas to replace divisive American style "democracy"?
