After reading this in the newest issue of the New York Times,
"WASHINGTON, Dec. 12 - The Pentagon is engaged in bitter, high-level debate over how far it can and should go in managing or manipulating information to influence opinion abroad, senior Defense Department civilians and military officers say.
Such missions, if approved, could take the deceptive techniques endorsed for use on the battlefield to confuse an adversary and adopt them for covert propaganda campaigns aimed at neutral and even allied nations."

it seems to me that the neo-con vipers and their lackeys in the Pentagon are at it again. It confirms my suspicion that these people have the same mind set as juveniles sitting down in their living room over a bowl of popcorn to play another exciting game of war on their X-box--and with exactly the same regard for real physical damage as they have. This is all the more reason to rid ourselves of the disease rife in our government's leadership, starting at the top, of course. It also reminds me of how everyone of our historic virtues (truth, justice, and the American way) is being undermined by a few (too damned many, actually) megalomaniacs and zealots. Truth is lying; lying is truth. In the "new' real world the Pentagon should be a withering appendage not the source of disease.
