I started four discussions today and actually had some comments. Per usual, there are lots of page views and few comments. However, I am encouraged, as I am getting new members joining on a regular basis. And, that is one of my goals for this group: large numbers.
Here are the discussions I started:
Please join the discussion either here on Kos or at Boston Democratic Party Meetup Group
http://democrat.meetup.com/176/
1. How do we improve this meetup group?
I'd like to know what you felt worked in meetup and what you would like to see improved upon or changed. I would like to hear solutions not just complaints. All suggestions will be discussed.
2. How do we connect with voters in local democratic groups?
What we had difficulty with in Santa Barabara was connecting with voters who did not have access to the internet.
Did you have this problem in Boston?
Are there liaisons now between the local wards and the various meetups? If not, how can we set this up?
3. What activities would you like to see this group sponsor, ie tabling?
Did you have tables during the primary process to register voters?
Where there registration tables on campuses?
Should we set these up now?
4. How do we gain new members?
In other words, are there Advertising people out there who can make suggestions concerning publicity?
One way we told others that we were Clarkies in Santa Barbara was by wearing a Clark button.
Would having buttons made for members work here in Boston?
If the answer is yes, are there people here who could design it and know where to have them made?
