The elites inside the beltway who control the Democratic Party are out to make sure that the activist base of the Democratic Party is marginalized at all costs. The inside-the-beltway conventional wisdom now seems to be to purge anyone who questions American's imperialist designs and labeling them, either implicitly or explicity, as "anti-Amreican" (See my last diary entry.)
Along these lines, activists like Michael Moore and MoveOn need to be marginalized or purged. (Will those on the blogosphere be next?)
