Hello everyone:
A friend of mine told me that a friend of hers has a son doing military duty in Kuwait. He apparently is under the impression that his vote for President wasn't counted. He didn't give his mother the details (on the assumption that his email might be read or his phone bugged), but he strongly hinted that his vote (for Kerry) wasn't counted.
But my friend and I are wondering:
1. Does anyone know if the military votes did get counted? Were some votes counted and some not?
- Did the DOD collect the ballots and send them to the various states? (I've read that that was the plan, in contrast to the past when the ballots were sent directly to the states.)
- Are there any reports of military voting being suppressed?
- Are there any reports about the military vote at all? I can't remember seeing any at all since the election.
Thanks for any pointers. I think this is an important topic that hasn't gotten much attention since the election.
