Russert interviewed Pat Buchanan and E.J. Dionne tonight on CNBC about "why the Democrats are so angry at Bush." Very entertaining -- as they are really surprised that some of us really don't like Bush (where have they been for the past two years?)
Anyway, as a preface to a question, Russert stated (I'm paraphrasing, don't have the transcript)
"Now isn't it irrefutable that the tax cuts resulted in a robust economy, so why are the Democrats still upset about this"
Despite the opinion of most credible economists, Russert has apparently done his own research and decided that tax cuts caused the rebound in the capital markets.
This is what we are up against -- the "dean" of Washington Reporters recites this kind of spin on behalf of the GOPs. Tax cuts = recovery. Of course, EJ Dionne didn't bother to refute Russert's assertion and instead went with the question. [Insert Dean scream here -- Yawwwwww!}
