Sorry,it just didn't feel right to post it on the clark thread.
Thank you Wesley Clark. You changed a lot of things.
Maybe I'll write a better article later but I can't do it at the moment.
- You made me support the Kosovo war when half of
my party opposed it ( german green party )
- For you I started to learn about american
politics
I became an addicted user of dkos and all the
american weblogs, I learned more about politics
in the last 6 month than in the previous 7years.
We are going to start a german liberal community
working with scoop and a great team in the next
three months
- I even volunteered for your campaign ( it didn't
work and for personal reasons I couldn't come to
little Rock in January) but I irritated the ten
people in primary states i called a bit :)
- I never before had a political role model (
maybe William Gladstone but he has been dead for
more than a century so it's a bit odd )now I
have one.
- In engaging in the american political process I
learned so much about online campaigning, about
our european political system and about myself
that this alone was worth every second I spent
defending you on dkos ;)
- I supported you, because I saw something in your
eyes, hope, hope that at last somebody would
take the work Wilson and Truman did and would
start to change the way international politics
work.
- You said you would cut the budget of the DoD
that alone was worth every second.
- You had a firmer grasp of whats going on in the
middle east than all the members of the current
administration combined
- You were the choice of the people, you were
drafted, like Howard Dean this tought me a lot
of democracy. And how it should work.
- My involvement in american politics taught me a
lot about the political system here at home and
I'm ready to start fighting for some change
thanks General
Thank you very much Wesley Clark.
Don't worry people I'll stay here :) but just look at my diary. without the Clark entries I won't write that much ;)
