Jumping on the new AWOL lie

In a comment this morning, I mentioned Marc Racicot's appearance with Juan Williams on NPR this morning, and Racicot's assertion that Bush had volunteered for Vietnam, but was not picked.

Apparently, my ears were not the only ones to perk up when Racicot made this claim. Josh Marshall and Kevin Drum are both all over this in new posts this morning.

Just as the AWOL story was reaching a quiet end, Bush's campaign chair revs it up again with an outright lie. All giftwrapped and ready to put under the tree for us. How nice of him.
