Evidently, it's very tiring being a judicial racist.
WASHINGTON -- Chief Justice William H. Rehnquist turns 80 this year and acknowledges he's thinking about retirement. But he won't say when that might come.
''At age 79 you can't help but think about retirement,'' he told NBC's ''Today'' show in an interview airing today. ''Your life expectancy isn't what it once was. And you've got to think about the possibility of retirement.''
Clearly, the polls of the last three days have him thinking of getting out while (for him at least) the getting is good.
Replacements? Anyone? And remember, the Boys from Brazil was fiction...
